Significant changes have occurred in the IT industry over the past couple of years.  Software companies such as Oracle, Sun Microsystems and Microsoft are providing “Open Source” software. 

What does this mean?  
Many things, but one thing for sure is that it provides a development team and a customer with the ability to use and deploy the most powerful systems in the world for free.  No purchase, No maintenance fees and No license fees for most midsize installations.
